Iredell County Arrest Records

An arrest record is simply a record of information documented by law enforcement about a person’s arrest. Arrest records are not to be confused with criminal records. Arrest records are created once a person is arrested, brought to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office or any other law enforcement department, and booked into the system. The booking process involves taking the offender’s name, date of birth, physical features like height, hair, and eye color, fingerprints, and mugshots.

Arrest records simply state that a person has been arrested for or charged with a crime. An arrest record only becomes part of a person’s criminal record when they are convicted or found guilty of the offence they were accused of or any other charge they have been convicted of.

Arrest records in Iredell County, North Carolina, are considered public records. Although Iredell County arrest records are public records, any information or record that comes within the definition of a confidential record under the North Carolina Public Records Act will be disclosed to the public.
